Hey, my driver seat on my car has collapsed and won't lock firm.
I'm guessing that brands in irreparable, so what's my best option on getting a new one?
Are ones in the Scrap Yard all f**ked?
Any help welcomed!

look first it may be something as simple as a spring out of location.

no

is it a gti?
if not i have a passannger set wich would fit in you could have that for about a tenner

Yeah, it's a GTI.
Do the passenger seats fit in the driver side?

Passenger sides will not have the height adjustment on them, and anyway, I don't think they fit as they are handed. If the seat frame is ok and it all adjusts ok, and its only the cushion thats knacked, just replace the cushion. Its a bit fiddley but well satisfying. See my project section. Half way down page 2.

I swapped the back support whole on my seats as i had 2 interiors and both passenger back supports were okay (without generic golf worn patch). It was a 3 door so as long as you can cope with the handle being on the incorrect side then....This way you keep the height adjustment on the drivers one.
