Title: Can anyone help with this fault code
Post by: PaulMK4GTI on 06 September 2008, 17:29
Scanned the car today with a Gendan code reader, came back with these codes

04E1
04E2
04E3
04E4

after searching round on t'interweb they seem to mean this:

Fuel Injector for Cylinder 1, (N30)

Fuel Injector for Cylinder 2, (N31)

Fuel Injector for Cylinder 3, (N32)

Fuel Injector for Cylinder 4, (N33)

Open or short circuit, +12V supply circuit breaker or fuse open

Unfortunately that's still Greek to me, anyone know what i should be checking? The car's a 1.8 20V NON turbo (Engine Code AGN). It's running fine but every now and then the idle speed is a bit erratic when the engine is cold.

possibly the coil packs themselves or the wiring connecting to them - could have a break in it giving intermittent contact  :undecided:
