Title: will a mk2 backbox fit a mk3

hi was wondering if a mk2 gti backbox would fit my mk3 gti as my back box is blowing and its mot time soon and was wondering if they would fit? or im i better off just buying a mk3 backbox.

Nope, it won't I'm afraid!

Go s/s after market system, probably pay just as much for a sports exhaust as you would a standard one from VW! :smiley:

can get a normal back box fitted for 60 quid but was looking at s/s ones. found a cheap mk2 backbox and was just wondering if it fitted

I got a mk2 back box to fit my mk3 cabrio by getting a bent pipe made to replace the mid rear section. Looks nice with the twin chrome pipes and only paid a fiver for the box and fifteen for the pipe!
