Title: are they the same?
Post by: 1300mk2 on 10 May 2004, 19:49
just wondering if the cam belt cover in a pre 85 (manual tappets) mk2 golf has the same cam belt cover as any mk 1s. the cover is the metal type and when located in place has two screws. one holding the dip stick guide and the other through the middle of the cover.

thanks in advance

as far as I'm aware the cambelt cover is the same on all the mk1 8v's and all the mk2 8v's.

I have no idea what you're on about with the dip stick though. the cambelt cover is held on by 2 (or the 8) 10mm nuts that hold the rocker cover on and a 6mm allen bolt on the side.
