Title: how to remove my headlights

hi my mk4 style headlights arrived today and was wondering how to remove my old mk3 ones! i know theres four bolts do i need to remove the front grill and if so how does it come off dont want to break it.

Lift the bonnet, theres clips holding the grill on running along the top and bottom, just use a flat headed screwdriver to release these, then the four bolts on each headlight and your sorted.

where do you buy mk4 style lights,ive not really looked into it but i have seen a pair on a mk 3 and thought they looked pretty fu@+in nice!

i think you need something along the lines of an 8mm socket wrench or it'll be come a fiddly little job

all sorted now hardest part was removing grill could work out how bottom lugs released but got there. I bought mine of ebay secound hand was 61 quid with postage. look nice but can tell there not standard ones bigger gaps between headlight and wing now but still looks great and im happy
