Came across this on Autotrader:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/VOLKSWAGEN+GOLF/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-240-4294966995-4294967159/advert.action?R=200835111298468&distance=49&postcode=gu342lx&channel=CARS&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=GOLF&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=
Now i may be missing something but why oh why is it so cheap? Its obv not a Pirelli but for £7,500 i can't seem to see why it would be this price?
Any ideas?
-
as said it wasnt out in 2007, and is either a mistake or a scam, either way you wont be getting it for 7k LOL
-
think they must have missed the 1 from the 17500 price
-
haha yeh, no way it could be a pirelli, they prob entered that in the title to get more hits! they obv had some sort of mare with the price, no chance of letting it go for that, unless its either been in a major accident, or the owner is rich and not bothered about price!

Pirelli_P you might want to edit the link as when you click on it it give us your full postcode!
-
If it sounds too good...it will be...feign some interest and enquire about payment details, just for a laugh.

See the last page, I found a similar deal on pistonheads for £7k....it has subsequently been removed.

Would have been the bargain of the century if it was right

Maybe its a CatD or CatC. Or maybe it is a serious high miler.
Definately smells of Haddock though!
-
Pirelli edition doesn't have the "classic GTI interior". neither does it have 18" Monza's
Definitely had the 1 missing.

"Hello
Sorry for this delayed replay but I was visiting my parents and I was unable to check my email. I am glad you are interested in buying my car. I already received many emails about my car so I hope you'll understand that I need to sort them and although it involves quite a bit of reading please spend the time to read through as thoroughly as you can. First let me give you some more information's about my car:
It's a 2007 VW Golf, Petrol, Manual, 10,200 miles and I sell it for £7,300.
It has: Air Conditioning, Climate Control, Cruise Control, ABS, ESP, Electric Seats + Windows + Mirrors, Power Steering, Remote Central Locking, Alarm, Immobiliser, Premium Sound System with CD Player, Driver + Passenger + Side Air Bags, Alloys Wheels, On Board Computer, parking sensors, Fog lights. The car drives perfectly and is in super condition, it looks outstanding and has an excellent safety record, it's incredibly comfortable, extremely well appointed and superb fuel economy for its class. Full Main Dealer Service History having been serviced two months ago and will not need another service until 2010.
First, I want you to know that I lived in England until 1 month ago and now I've moved in Cyprus and I've bring the car here with me. I am here because I am pregnant and I have decided to give birth in my home country that is Cyprus and move back here for good.
My car is in perfect conditions, no flaws or dents, no scratches or any kind of damage, no engine problems, no hidden defects. It has full service history, HPI clear, no outstanding finance, non-smoking, never involved in any accident. Everything works as it should and the car drives exactly as you would expect a good car to drive. The paintwork is nice and shiny, the interior is also in superb condition, no rips/tears. This car drives superb, having plenty of power, excellent road holding. The car is still UK registered and if you decide to buy it you will receive the original invoice, logbook, V5C registration certificate, keys and all the documents to register it into your name.
You don't have to worry about the shipping charges because I already paid for them to the shipping company that will bring my car to UK. Ten days ago I was contacted by a lady from Kent that want to buy my car and I've arranged to send the car to her address in UK but it turned out after all that she didn't have all the money to pay for my car. I've declined the deal with this lady and because the shipping fees that I already paid are not refundable I decided that the best thing for me is to look for another buyer from UK. So I can arrange to ship my car to your door without any extra charges for you and will arrive to your address in no more than a week.
I have to sell it back in UK because unfortunately I can't afford to pay the importing and registering taxes in order to register the car in Cyprus. This fees are very expensive in Cyprus for this type of car and when I try to sell it here nobody was interested in a car that is still registered in UK. Now I have some financial problems with my house loan and need the money very urgently so I have to sell it at this price and in this conditions otherwise I may loose my house.
Regarding the payment method: due to amount involved and due the fact that I am not located in the United Kingdom and I will not be able to meet you in person I only accept to close this deal with the help of a shipping company that acts as an international transaction mediator. Beside shipping the car they will act as an independent middle part - holding the payment as a deposit until you receive and inspect my car. You will have 5 days inspection period and will have the car for inspection and test drive BEFORE any money is released to me. If after you test drive my car you aren't satisfied with it or you simply don't like it you can decline the deal in 5 days from the day you receive it and get a complete refund of your money deposit and after that they will collect the car from your address and return it to me.
The best thing about this company is that they take full responsibility by legal agreement for getting my car delivered to your door. They are offering us a legal agreement for our deal to be fully protected, 100% transport insurance for my car and they work with a reputable bank institution where your deposit will remain until you accept my car and confirm that you want to buy it.
This is the safest way for both of us to handle the transaction. Many of the dealers I went to sell them the car recommended me the services of the company I am talking about. I took the car this week to this company and I am thrilled of their services and of the professional way they understand doing their job. So if we decide on all the aspects of the transaction this company will take care of everything: paperwork, title, contract, insurance, delivery to your address. Just remember that this company will give you 5 days inspection period of my car and will have the car for inspection and test drive BEFORE any money is released to me.
Don't think this will be a very complicated way to buy a car and will take a lot of time because it is not true, with the help of the shipping company I choose my car will arrive to your door in no more than a week and the only thing we must do is to sign the transaction agreement that will protect both.
If you are interested to buy the car and you want more details about the procedure please reply and I will forward you to the company I've contracted to help me sell my car, and they will explain you everything. Also if you have any other questions regarding the car or the delivery process please do not hesitate to get back with me.
I must tell you that I am deaf but it should not stop us communicating each other by emails, faxes or Yahoo Messenger.
Best wishes, Dalia Tobias"

ARE PEOPLE THAT MENTAL THAT THEY WOULD ENTERTAIN THIS? Think I will ask her to provide a pic of the car actually in Cyprus
-
LOL, dont want to say i told you so but .............
-
I think the bit I love more than anything else is...... "I must tell you that I am deaf but it should not stop us communicating each other by emails, faxes or Yahoo Messenger."
Not mocking the afflicted however....in the context of a deal like this...how incredible is it, really?
I may just suggest I am on tour next month and will be in Cyprus for a short time with the Army...please advise your address and I will inspect the car prior to shipping...
-
The reason this car is advertised on there in this way is simply because... YES people do fall for this kind of thing!!
Its quite an easy way of making 10k..... and as a side line business is probably very profitable. You only needs a few bites a year and your quids in and could probably quit your day job :undecided:
-
Scum sucking bottom feeders
-
OH GOD! hahaha brilliant! I feel sorry for anyone who is going to fall for this! Surely they've seen watchdog and seen scams on the news! As soon as i hear the car (if it even exists) is in another country, that the seller is deaf so miraculously cant talk on a phone, and that they only want £7500 for it well good luck to whoever coughs up! The nerve of some people is frightening!
-
yeh, i cant see a way of reporting it on Autotrader either ?
-
I reported some scam e-mails to Autotrader I received when I was selling my previous car, and they didn't give a monkeys! Just directed me to their FAQs on buying and selling safely on the internet! They still make money out of scam adds so they don't care.
