I like the whole concept Phil and well done Gulf on making the plaque.

Did you break a bottle of bubbly over the bonnet and say "God bless all ride in her"

I like the idea Phil, think its a nice touch. But i would agree that come sale time, i would want to make sure i could return it to factory spec! unless of course they happen to call their car by the same name!  :nerd:

I like the idea of it alot, and I don't think it looks bad at all, but I think if the font was similar to that in your signature it would look even better (i.e. like an engraving font used on pens/bracelets etc)

truely horrific...

But hey, if it floats your boat...

i was under the impression that it was gonna be the same font and size as the edition 30 wrote on the silver trim on passenger side. But i am happy with where it is. Also the origonal trim is safe in the glovebox and pops back in. So i havent ruined the origonal silver trim . i like it, but as ive said , thats my only gripe is the size of the letters are on the large side.

If you are offering to sort, i wont mind , the 1.2 gauge metal is totally fine.

Yeah monza.. I use autoCAD and Solidworks for my designing, import that into the CAM and do the programming.I fly to Lanzerote tmrw,pm me with details and I,ll talk when I get back.

Phil.

gulfstreams new idea is to do GTi in the same font as the Vw way of writing, and at an angle "phylis" wrote in a fancy font like in my signiture. That would look beter imo.

Sh1t I just noticed Phil. That 2nd foto,I thought you were going over the original trim.I see you,ve removed it.I will add an extra 30mm and shape it to fit round.

Gulf

yes i tried it ontop before and it didnt sit quite right ( too proud), so i popped the trim off and put it safe. It sits better in the hole.
