Title: Roof Rack for golf with sunroof?

I need to fit some roof bars so I can attach my bike rack to the roof.

Everywhere I have looked list the bars for the golf but say they are only for ones without sunroofs....

So I'm hoping that someone on here can point me in the right direction with this one, I can't see that having the sunroof is going to make much difference with the fitting on the clamps for the bars.

I don't want to use a boot rack as I already have the roof mounting for my bike.

I thin kit only means you can't open the sunroof with it on. THe roof profile is the same regardless of whether you have a sunroof or not.

Yeah thats what I thought. But I don't see how it would stop you from being able to open the sunroof as it slides back into the body work.

Perhaps they suggest that for insurance reasons if someone overloads the rack?
