Ok i'm looking at spending some cash on my car in the next few months starting with the bodywork. This is one area which i'm really no good at. On the bottom corner of each of the rear doors ive got patches of rust starting to bubble through. Im based in the westmidlands so if any one knows a good body shop that would be great. looking at it i think an L shape plate will need weilding on each side then filling and spraying how much should i be looking to pay. Has anyone had a simular job done recently who can give me a rough figure??. Other than that the doors are mint no dents/scrathes so don't want to repalce them. thanks in advance

I'd say about £150-£200 as a garage wanted about £200 for cutting my old arch out and welding a new arch back in - this was without painting.

Buy some good condition doors and drop them round the body shop to colour code, then pop round another day to get them fitted. That way you keep your car on the road.

My only concern is that they won't match or will have orange peel. Because its just the bottom of the doors I need doing the paint doesn't have to be a perfect match, but if its the whole door and im a fussy b**tard it will look crap if its not A1. Ill phone round a few bodyshops and see what they say.

Just posted this on an other thread but think it answers the question.
Try Volks Magic - I have been advised that there body work is top.
They did some body work for a guy restoring a bug on one of the Discovery Channels
