im desperate car in bodyshop an i cant decide on a colour maybe you lot can help any other colours but i personally dont like red
-
what car is it mate? mk1,2,3.4,5 or rado etc different colours suit different cars imo
-
I'm assuming it's the Mk2 in the project thread http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=89816.msg741015#msg741015 (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=89816.msg741015#msg741015)
that's in the body shop.
In which case I don't think many of those colours suit the Mk2, certainly not anything loud or yellow.
You say "camo green", what shade of green ?
-
this is true, a camo green may look good, but white looks awesome if you get the whole car, bumpers, etc fully color coded.

In that case ^^^^^^ i wouldn't use any of the lairy colours suggested either, it'd look like a proper macdonalds lover in lamo green !
you done some good work so far i'd probably respray it in the standard colour tbh. or maybe met black, white can look awsome, but then you'd have to respray EVERYTHING like boot floor and inner rear arches etc. it'd look sweet in a standard oldschool dub colour?
camo green would look alright though but it'd seem a waste of all that time to just gve it a matt finish???
and i would have thought its the 'Nato Green' dubfan ???
-
White or Yellow.
-
keep it royal blue....or go with atlas grey as thats another fave color of mine....or gofor the "rare" oak green
but don't paint it lairy n loud...it won't be a dub if thats done to it
-
LOL its a mk2 yea i want sort of something thats gonna stand out when its done any one seen the rs4 audi suzuka grey any one got any colour ideas they could post up so i can decide wot to go for

^^^only if everything else is white
-
How about the dark silver shade thats going about... theres a lot of bm's in it, think its called gunmetal grey?
-
if you want to stand out, but not be loud then white is the color. Seen the new a5, m3, etc in white - WOW! But the paintwork is quality stuff, and EVERYTHING is painted, no black plastic!
LL ;)
-
got to disagree. white looks amazing on new cars but an ALL white mk2 would look crap. its been done and it sucks balls.
-
i know what you mean ^^^ but the paint job needs to be top dollar.
But what else ya gunna do to make it stand out but not look stupid?? matt black/camo green - maybe.
LL ;)
-
Well my car's actually sprayed in 'flip white', its basically white with a very small blue flip, looks white with a bright white tint to it when the sun hits it. It certainly looks a bit different.
It was sprayed in that color by the guy that owned her before me, not sure if i like it to be honest, lol!
-
def not a full colour coded mk2....they look tosh if used as daily drivers as the paint is not normally applied in sufficient layers which looks gash if then stone chipped as huge areas flake off...just look at how many bad corsa's we've seen in the barryboys thread to know this!!
Space Grey is the M3 colour i think...but the website is a bit pap and doesnt show it properly
