Does anybody know or have used an ebay tdi tuning box for a diesel?

Some cheap ones from germany for £50, are they safe?

I have no techinical knowledge of these boxes, but i wouldnt bother with one imo.

They seem to be widely used but they vary in price massively! Don't want to damage my engine though

i have one on mine not sure of make as it was on the car when i
got it. it plug in the vw wiring loom at the front off the engine.
it does make a difference on mine it a 1z engine code.
