of a warped disc on the rear drivers side be..?
Reason i ask is i have this noise that only happens when i brake and is definatly coming from the caliper area, it slows as the car does, sounds like something on the wheel that is hitting the ground each time it goes round but its deffo from the caliper area as ive run beside the car as the missus was driving slowly and listened as she braked.
Any sure way of finding out..?
-
jack it up and spin it round

Had a bit of gravel lodged in my brake pad, it gave those symptoms.
-
check between the disc and the metal backing plate as this was a problem i had once the stone pops out good as new
-
could even be a loose wheel bearing?

Can better decribe it as a creaking from the caliper area that stop starts and slows as the car does.
