Hey all, I'm brand new here, just bought myself a M 3 and it needs a little bit of work. For instance the windshield- which needs to be replaced. Wanted to know if anyone knew where I could get one? Im based in Norwich- so somewhere local would be nice, but obviously i do need one so please dont be shy.

do you have fully comp insurance with window cover? if you do get autoglass to do it they will come to your house and they are very quick too.
-
The screen is bonded and needs specially fitting...but it could be worth calling around your area as i was quoted £90 fitted (with the correct brown tint) and upto £368!!
-
Also it only got me 75 quid with autoglass and doesnt effect no claims
-
I had a new windscreen fitted last week by RAC auto windscreen and it only cost £50, that was through my insurance and it didn't affect my no claims
-
my glass excess is £50 but i still think the £90 is good if you dont have this cover.....
-
Does a windscreen claim affect your premium the next year at all?
-
It is not supposed to, but who really knows with insurance companies.
-
it'll prolly be more cost effective for you to go fully comp if you aren't already
had mine replaced for about £60 i think under fully comp... very nice chap came out and was all chatty and stuff... cup of tea and a phone call was all the effort that was needed... i do liek mods like that!

I think on mine (Admiral multicar) you can 'add' winscreen cover for an additional premium. Once I've paid the additional premium, then the excess, prob cheaper to just pay for the screen!

I avoided insurance....
£70 all in with a small bristol company
-
I was quoted £350 With 3rd party discount on my white MK3. :undecided:
Then i found a chap who did it with in the hour for £95. Very happy with that.

Sweet. I reckon i'll be calling my insurance company, sounds like a plan.
