As above, I have what i thought was chewing gum but is actually a very sticky sweet stuck on the surface of my back seat ( Bloody kids). It has gone hard on the surface but I'm having trouble getting it all off. any suggestions to help remove it.

Steam Cleaner ?

Freeze it then break it up into bits. An air duster thingy would do it, as would a plumbers freezer spray etc. Worst case, put an ice cube on it then break the sweet up into bits and sweep them off.
Works on chewing gum.

cornish pixie suggested this before... works on other stuff so don't see a reason why it wouldnt work on car upholstery

All of the above is good advice, if this still doesnt help i would try licking it gently 5 to 600 times.

Ofcourse i do NewGolf.
I start off with a gargle of water not to hot though Probably for about 10 seconds. Then move onto a gentle brushing.
Now this is important, over the year's ive tried lot's of brushes and it's about getting the balance between performance and useability in the real world. So my recommendation is this - http://www.toothbrushdirect.co.uk/shop.php?CategoryID=29 These look good but also last for ages making them good value. message to self must stop buying them in pack's of 50.
Anyway to go with the brush i will only use colgate total toothpaste, you read about all these fancy product's like added whitening, pro enamel, tooth glym sparkler, and meg's polish 3432 but trust me you will corode your teeth. If your protect them regulary with chewing gum then by bed time a gentle brushing get's them sparkling.hope this has helped. :nerd:
