Whats the crack here... i've seen mk4 cabrio mirrors on a few mk3's now, and i'm assuming the baseplate fit is exactly the same right? but how easy are they to wire in to the original electrics for the motor and heating. Is it just a case of plug n' play? also, how much are they roughly?
cheers

I give up, what's so special abou the mirrors? Same as my Mk3's... maybe it's just a cabriolet thing and the people you've seen just have Mk3 cabby mirrors? Mk3 and Mk4 cabby's a pretty much the same anyway...

nahhh, you got mk3 mirrors like mine... i'm talking about the mk4 version of the cab (from 98 onwards) where they changed the mirrors to suit the rest of the VW range at the time, i.e on the golf, passat, lupo etc etc... but as it's bascially the same bodyshell as a mk3 golf, i'm thinking that perhaps the baseplates and electrics are exactly the same as the standard mk3 mirrors, thus meaning an easy fit perhaps?!?
anyways, check this pic to see which mirrors i'm on about:
