Here's a link to some spy shots of the new MK 6 hot weather testing... Roll on 2009, and hopefully a friendly bank manager!
Is it time to start a MK6 section yet?

"spy shots" always make me laugh. "we caught them hot weather tessting"
you mean VW publicity department told you where to go to give them free advertising.
-
start a mk6 section when the first person takes delivery of one :P Until then alls it going to be is pointless photoshops of a mk5 with a slightly different body! lol
-
If only they did... Would certainly make our lives easier! Nope, these require the use of people who actually hide in bushes for a living.

"while the brakes, suspension and bodywork will be beefed-up versions of today's Golf GTI hardware"

No R32, no R36?! What the hell is going on?!
My life is in ruin now, thanks Volkswagen again for building up our spirits and then shattering them with a swift, gentle 258lb/ft mallet.

However, VW will, in spirit, bring it back via an all-wheel-drive R variant called GTI-R. It will be powered by the 265hp 2.0 TFSI found in the Audi S3.
Not to bad, 4 wheel drive version, just a bit annoying that they are dropping the r32 due to eu immisions regulations!! how gay!

Yea, the R32 sounds

the first link shows the car running the BBS rims which imo should have been fitted as standard on the mk5...
be interesting if the link in the second one looks anything like the final version...I just don't know why they don't just lift the tape off and show the damn cars...and if i had to sit in bushes i'd prefer it to be done with VBH from 5th Gear like when she went off doing the old capturing of new models.

I wish the EU would go Fu*k themselvess

Hmmm......and Top Gear say that the front end of the GTI version will be based on the W12 concept
