Title: stained seats!!
Post by: brains on 07 May 2004, 08:03
my front seats are always marked with white stains, and no its not what your thinking!!! :-[
i have tried steaming then, they look alright for a few weeks but then it comes back. it almost looks like water marks but the seats are always dry, the back seats are perfect.

anyone got a scooby?

it looks like the stains you get on your mats from salt when its been snowing,
i wonder if its from driving home after football training in my shorts, bit of sweat maybe? ::)

erm.... yep.... quite likely....

might be worth trying slightly "heavier" steam-cleaning and then not driving when you're covered in sweat for a bit?

You need something to basically dissolve the salt out fo the fabric... and then NOT to put the sweat straight back on.

I normally throw a towel over my seats if I have to drive back from squash/hockey.... or just shower at the club.
