It is the earlier MK3 GTI 8V engine.  :smiley:

Later one was AGG  Slightly diffrent fuel sytem etc.

oy dont forget the 95 only ady (sharan) engine like mine!!

best way of describing a 2e is its bosch fuel injection where as the others use siemens/hitachi/simos (it one type but it is known by diferent names!)

I always identify it by having a slightly larger intake manifold than the AGG.  Forgot about the ADY  :grin:

ive got a 2e engine in mine still pulls like a mofo. can keep up with an mr2 turbo at 120 :D
