Title: New Mk6 GTi Spotted?! w/pics

Couldn't find these posted anywhere else on the forum, forgive me if they already have been. Saw these on www.ukmkvs.net. Apparently this is the mk6 gti undergoing desert testing. I know you cant see much of it, but personally if this is true, I dont find the shape very impressive...

I like the look of the twin exit zorst.  :cool:

Also It's going to need some big rim's as those side profile pic's make the wheels look v small to me  :undecided:

The evolution of the Golf has always been understated. Dumbing down apart, the variants have been significantly improved only in the Mk II (after the magnificent Mk I) and the Mk V (after the dull Mk III and the slightly better Mk IV), but given today's political climate :rolleyes:, you can't expect any radical design change, apart from addressing so called environmental issues and the need to reduce build costs, therefore increasing profit. Better, it will be, but ground breaking - NO :wink:

Looks sorta similar to the mk5 GTI, which is a good thing in my books  :grin:.

Like Cass said more of an evolution than a radical step, to keep the (on the whole) conservative golf buyers happy.

One thing to note for you twin exhaust lovers, it has them already, AND a tow bar  :wink:

i like, very subtle differences from the mkv, im just waiting fo the GTI-R to be released thats where my cash is goin if anythin!  :cool:

looks to similar imo, not so much a new model more of a inbetween facelift
