Title: which tyres for my mkII gti???

I have just bought an f reg mkII gti, the rear tyres need replacing it currently is running 195/45/15.

I went to the tyre man today he told me i should be running on 195/50/15, is this correct anyone?

I was running 195/50/15 when I had 15's on. I think you only run 45 profile if you don't mind your speedo out and want to look better  :P
