Anyone think this is worth the risk?

Ideally would like to see it in the flesh before parting with my scarce readies just now.
Think I can get the OEM parts (black), for about £30 from a stealer....so its a wee bit of a gamble. Mine was shabbily painted, looks as below, cant really see but up close its pants.

The centre vents come seperate from the surround on the radio/heater etc....the trim part number 1K0858069KV80 and the vent section is 1K0819728JV80 these are the steel look finish which is the KV & JV80 at theend of the PN.....If your only wanting a section to paint then I have a plain black vent section which your welcome to have.
The vent section is £34.15 and the surround section is £26.94 each plus vat.

is it metal ? Ok not sure silver is the way to go tbh, piano black would look cool

I was going for the full bhoona to replace, my centre console sat nav surround and vents above.
The part numbers you quote colb, are these available from a main dealer? in silvered finish, I don't want another home made job. Mine as pics was done poorly and is not a professional finish.
1K0858069KV80
1K0819728JV80
Actually the silver in the flesh looks quite nice IMHO, but OEM black, rather than piano gloss black, may be what I decide to go back to.

nice, but i would prefer CF.......
its abit of a gamble mind, money involved + language barrier possibly if anything should go wrong (you know how ebay is) ?!? not sure i would risk it!

They are if you use those part numbers which relate to German spec R-Line trims

Ah cool... I will try my local stealer today and see if they recognise these PNs colb66, thanks. Has to be less risky than purchasing through German ebay, plus if I dont like them when they arrive there will be less hassle rejecting them.

Ok just checked, yep they are available! thanks!!
One of the parts however is on back order from the factory right now, may take a couple of weeks.
The two prices I got were 1K0858069KV80 (£27.45 + vat) and 1K0819728JV80 (£34.79+vat), mind you that is not TPS that is just through Arnold Clark in Jordanhill.
Will also have to get myself some trim removal tools,,,...ok over to ebay next :)
