Was it lost in the forum crash?
I want to be up to speed on what needs doing before I start.

Yeah I had a look for it but can't find anything other than a few people recommending some kind of glue.
I wanna fit the footrest and seat inserts too. Am looking at electrical tape for the red bit but also thinking about some kind of rubber to poke up from the holes in the footrest.

Bacillus, do you have the footrest with holes?
If so then:-
There are only two screws which hold the plastic footrest in place. You can see the locations of the holes from the photo of the footrest below.

Once you have removed the screws you have to push the plastic moulding upwards as it is a slide on/off affair.
After that I offered up the rest and marked out the three holes once the footrest was where I thought it fitted best. I then used a wood drill bit (think it was 6mm) to drill the holes as the sharp point of a wood drill is easier to start the hole in plastic.
Once the holes are drilled I fitted the footrest (and obviously at this point you need to fit you coloured inserts) and then re-fitted the unit back into the car.

As another possible insight.I drilled the top right hole first,bolted it on loose enough to move the footplate.Located the correct position then marked the remaining 2 holes.
I too used a wood drill bit as Hurdy said.
The bolts are M5
Gulf
