Title: PLEASE READ! lol slightly panicking
Post by: scottyboy08 on 19 August 2008, 18:46
Slightly Noobie maybe  :undecided:
hi all i am slightly worried....i have just recieved my 18" wheels today and they have 225/40/18 tyres like said before but the only problem is i have just rested them up against the wheels on my car now which are the 15" steelies which come with it and they stand about 1" maye higher than the ones on the car....is that because they have big profiles and alot of air in them which give a bit of play with the weight of the car on them?
thanks alot guys

The rolling radius will be the same mate. 15's got thicker profile tyres, 18's have thinner, making both fairly similar, or as close to so that speedo isnt affected.

shouldnt be that slow accleration alloys are light anyway just got a bit more resistance from the width of the tyres.
