What am I missing about carbon fibre, I just don't get it?  :undecided:

Each to their own though, if its what you like then enjoy!

me too I dont understand? golfs are bloody heavy is a couple of ounces lighter goin to make that much difference?
and the stick on to carbon grilles mirror covers etc, It may be light but it is heavier now you have stuck it on top!
My fave is when carbon is teamed with a big bit of ice!

I quite agree myself...not too fussed about weight saving as i weigh about 100kgs myself but deffinatley for the look!

RedRobin would have to agree that carbon fibre and Tornado Red looks good

The only two bits of CF I have are replacement CF parts. Okay the mirrors are basically bling, but the bonnet saves about 7kg over the standard steel one....and every bit counts  (still bought it mainly for bling though )

....It's for cosmetic reasons with me. My carbon bits are replacements and not stick-ons (all except the nose piece). Any minor weight saving is merely a bonus.

Nothing wrong with eye-candy...............
