so ive been looking to buy either a 2.8 or 3.2 and the only thing stopping me buying the 3.2 is the price :'( so im steering towards the 2.8 any advice on this motor and anyone know how much 3.2's are going for now? also are the 2.8's quick? etc etc
-
What are you talking about? Astra's? VW's. I'm confused ???
-
i pressume your on about the v6 4motion and the r32 arent you jason??? i like both matey not sure on prices, the 4 motions are pretty quick, and there 4wd ;D tint the windows, r32 wheels and bumpers job done know one will know cause they make the same growley noise!! lol
Gaz 8)
-
yeah gaz i am had enough of the astra as its like driving a plastic skip.....checked my insurance and now ive got enough no claims the insurance quote is quite reasonable...would much prefer the r32 but your looking at close to 20k but you can get the v6's for around 14.5k so me thinks the 2.8 is more a realistic option just need to know who's driven one and what there like
-
Ah hah! I see. Just needed someone who wasn't disgusted by the word astra ;)
If you can afford it go for the R32, but the V6 4 motion is a very, very good substitute! And much cheaper.
-

go have a drive in one!
-

V6 4Motion - Half the price!!!!

Seen a black r32 for ?23995
It was amazing!!
-
Still a prohibitive premium on R32's, just go for the V6-4-Motion, it'll be such a step up from your Astra that you won;t knwo what hit you!!
-
Or....you could wait till the end of the year and get a new GTi! ?16k? That's what i heard, anyone know for sure?
-
Gal - u gonna be trading in the Mk1 or the Mk2 for that?
-
Agree with previous comments, 4motion certainly the cheaper option, but R32 will drop a lot in price soon, simply due to the fact dealers have shed loads of them now and people are still trying to sell them 2nd hand for a premium. That won't carry on for long and either the 2nd market for them will collapse or the dealers will have to start doing some proper deals to shift them
-
Ive heard rumours the new GTI is going to be a proper beast ;D
However, if the styling isn't to your taste, wait for it to be released...
Should have some effect on the price of the 4Motions 2nd hand.
