Title: Newbie MK2 driver wanting MK5
Post by: balltofeet on 17 August 2008, 22:57
Hello I am a 47 year old VW Golf Gti fan. I currently drive a brilliant 8V K Jetronic mark 2 C reg. I want to keep it good depsite its 157K. I would like to buy a mark 5 for about 10K & tonight drove a one locally which I was seriously impressed with except the dipstick indicated opil below the max 10K miles after servicing. This long life servicing is the complete antithesis of what I know about cars - regular oil changes. Does the 2.0T 200 BHP use oil like the 2.0 TDi units?

Advice on MK 5 oil consumption please

Hi there Balltofeet

If you have a look on the MKv section and do a search you should get plenty of info, if not just start a thread.

Welcome

I have a 2.0TFSI and have only had to put in 1/2 a litre in 10k miles.
