Title: footwell bulbs
Post by: No Golf Clubs at all on 16 August 2008, 13:23
A previous owner with chav taste replaced the footwell bulbs with blue bulbs.

I want to change these back to stock, is it just a case of popping the cover and replacing with a similar clear bulb?...the reason I ask this dumb question is when I pulled the unit out the whole rectangular fitment came out too...does anyone know if the opaque cover pops off easily enough to allow me to replace the bulb seperately OR is the whole unit sealed.. I guess pics would help here, dont have time for that just at the minute..will try later.

anyone tried to replace or mod their footwell bulbs? any guidance or info would be much appreciated.
Cheers

I haven't, sorry.

I did have a Burberry cap once though, seemed to get into a fight everytime I wore it into town.

Ok Halfrauds, 501 bulbs replaced all overhead LEDs and the two footwell LEDs. about £7 for 6 bulbs.

No more disco, corsa, rice boy...car back to stock :) Done.

The footwells pop out of their position and are encased in a light metal shell, you just gently prise this off to access the bulbs.

I can relax in the knowledge that I won't be bathed in blue light.

If anyone on here wants 5 Blue LEDs free of charge, PM me your address details and I will pop them in a jiffy bag and put them in the post.

Just out of curiosity, what did having all blue lights look like? Any photos? I just can't picture it really .

I think it looked

Sorry I didn't take any pics, each to their own etc, I am sure there will be people on here who like it.  Maybe its an age thing, at 43 I got a little embarrased when I opened the door.  However my daughter, 8 and all her little friends just loved the "funky" look!

They gave a kind of neon blue glow to the footwell and the overhead area.
