Ok so been quite since lowering the car due to Sod all funds. I am preying there in rather soon ie next couple of weeks. It should a fair bit.
So my question is people link me to some nice little mods. Ie wipers on the rear badges etc.
Dont worry rhyso i aint forgot the lights lol.
Also thinking of a remap from r tech. Whats the cost of them ?
I prey to god i get this money in as i want some mods doing badley.
-
r-tech remap around £300 mark. I would get a 007p dv with your remap.
-
I have seen that been said before what is it ?

its for a petrol engine so we won't bother with it
whats your budget?
MY rear lights lol
Aero Wipers
Sharan rear badge
Beetle gear stick
R32 Steering wheel
spray your interior bits a different colour

It will replace the existing one you have at the moment. As you will putting extra strain due to the remap its a good idea to replace it.
-
I dont wanna go crazy with the money lol.
New light badges the few bits that will make it less standard will do me.
Defo intrested in a remap cause well we all need more ponys dont we lol.
What sort of extra bhp do you get sumert like 50bhp ?
Would i need to start replacing stuff as of result of this ?
-
what engine you got?
expect around 30-40bhp
only thing is your clutch may not last much longer and then you're talking mega bucks - i paid £900 for mine including flywheel and fitting
best thing to do is to go for a fairly conservative, OEM style remap which won't knacker the clutch
-
Its the 100bhp version 5 speed so slow as compared to when i got it lol.
Yeah 900 quid seems far to much for me to be spending on that lol.
We will see how much the pay packet is ( Should be a fair bit as they owe me alot ).
Then do all the badges etc lights door sills.
Then think about what map is sutiable.
Only problem is i am thinking of getting new car next year. Another golf of course but aint sure which. Id like more bph this time lol.
-
you may get away with not needing one - depends on age and also style of driving - mine was past its best when i had my mapped
IIRC you'll have a different size clutch and flywheel so upgrading would be a bit cheaper (jammy git!)
if you're serious about another car next year then i wouldn't bother sdoing anything (apart from the lights )and put your cash towards that instead otherwise you're just spending money you'll never see back
-
I to was thinking this. I reckon little bits will do for me. Just to make me smile when i look at it lol.
Some reason insurance has been a killer on me. Even though i have driven for over 3 years never had an accident and so many years no cliams.
Hopfully different next year.
