the sensor that plugs into the air filter box, does anyone know what its for and what problems might i get if the wires have snapped from sensor?
think its been fcuked for some time and havent had any problems, going throught a fair bit of petrol though >:(

It tells the ECU what temp the air is and fuels the engin accordingly, I would have thought that's why you're using alot of petrol. A lot of people unplug this and put in a resistor (on Ebay they are sold as chips for about 3 quid!) it tells the ECU the air is quite hot and it lets more fuel through giving more power, can't do any good.
