Post by: daniel-1986 on 13 August 2008, 15:32
my mate blew his engine the other day which is a 1.4 16v mk4 golf due to the cambelt tensioner braking causing the belt to slip and will be getting a new engine on saturday, just wondering should it come with the ECU off the other car just incase it store the mileage off the that car

if its exactly the same engine, just use the existing loom/ecu.. otherwise you have to faff around getting keys coded or swapping ignition barrels.
