Realisticly 3-4MPG aslong as you stay off boost asas it'll drink more than before.

Is a 1.8 (I assume thats the coupe your going to be looking at?) going to be that much better on fuel than your GTi?
And all you diesel bashers, I filled up for 111p today so you can shove your 44mpg up your arse !

1.09 unleaded and 1.12 for super at the Tesco near work.. prices are becoming sensible again no need to sell up.

Is a 1.8 (I assume thats the coupe your going to be looking at?) going to be that much better on fuel than your GTi?

Nope not red, proper diesel :cool:a friend is a haulage driver so when he feels up, he also fills a couple of 25 litre containers

ye its a 1.8 im gona go for, an its the same engine as my old astra so i know its better on fuel. hoping to get this one if i sell mine quick enough :

Mate of mine has just bought one of these in black and regardless of what anyone else on here says I think they are quite nice. The MK4 is still better tho :)
