Where would it go?? Is there a specific location for it?? Does it have a velcro tab??

I ask because if there isnt then its just going to fly round my car like the other pieces of sh1t do!

It fits in the boot, on the left side, in the recess between the wheel arch and the light clusters.  You should have a black rubber flat bungee type thing (to hold the FA kit), and also a rigid black plastic "click-to-close" clip (to hold a warning triangle).

EDIT: Bu&&er - too slow!  :embarassed:

Ohh, fabric straps now - Rubber is much better!  :smug:

What model year is yours?

Genuine VW part, £16, part number 000 093 109 C

Is that CI VAT-free prices (or do the stealers mark em up)?  Not a bad price anyway.

Velcro straps, with a plastic clip for the warning triangle. All this stuff should come as standard.
Mine was ordered in Jan this year, delivered at the end of March. Price was less VAT but included postage, so it should be close to the UK price.

OK.  All UK cars should have the clip and strap as standard - but we don't get the first aid kit or warning triangle.  They do in Europe though!   Rip-off Britain strikes again.

So the 10th digit of your VIN should be "8" - making that a 2008 model year.  You must have the different graphics on your wiper and indicator stalks, and on your climate control, the bottom half of the right roundy bit should say "AC" rather than "ECON" ???

It has a specially shaped "stepped" case, though.  And if you can afford to buy a Phaeton, then you can pay more for your Phaeton nik-naks!

ok...<fx on> tight scotsman speaking....you can get just about the same kit in Aldi, comes in red or green for about a fiver :D <F/x off>

Nothing wrong in wanting to go original though...just thought I would add some more information, and lets face it they are both German companies

Good point, I got my warning triangle from Tesco for £4.99 obviously not original VAG but fits perfectly and cost much less.
