Just swapped a two litre eight valve with K-Jet injection, into my mate's digi eight valve. Wired the engine wires in, no probs. But....is there much difference in the wiring layout at the fuse box end? Only thing i noticed, was the bl00dy connectors are the wrong shape!!

something diffrent!
Not sure if the wires are diffrent colour but check out Rub Jonnys mk2 fuse box wiring diagram post. Cant find it myself but its around.
Looks like a cut and join job

why dont you swap kjet over to digi and everything is as it should be you just need to make sure engine is fitted witha 2e dizzy

The engine is putting out 155bhp at the wheels running that set-up, so my mate wants the K-Jet to stay! I see your point! It would save me a headache, but i owe him a few favours! Cut and shut it is then! D@mn you, wires!!!!!

the fusebox changed in 1990, sounds like the digi was a 90spec car, k-jet will be pre-90 as they stopped doing em in 87. gonna have to do a bit o splicing!
If I were you I'd pull out the bay loom again and seperate out the engine specific stuff, then splice that in. being k-jet there wont be very much to do at all!
