Title: fitting alternator and PAS belts...

brought new belts from vw,
went to put them on today, but the PAS belt was wayyyy to short and the alternator belt was too short as well, i have a 1991 gti 16v, could they have given me the wrong ones, or are the belts meant to be REALLY hard to put on??

cheers, found out we need a 950 lenth, longest their is!
