Go to the main dealer and ask for a discount then!   Nobody should ever pay the full whack, as most dealers will give at least 5% discount, and some will even give 10% - even for non-trade customers.  If the stealer refuses, then tell them theyv'e just lost a sale, as you will now get them from Mike at VWspeed.co.uk.  I'm sure the stealer will reconsider, and offer you some discount!

I've mentioned this previously but as it's probably been lost..........

I enquired at a VW dealer parts dept when I had my GTI as I wanted a set of ED30 mats. They told me they did not list them as a part so couldn't be ordered !?!?  Has any one else experienced this??

I'd like a second set for winter/summer use.

What a load of bollox (aimed at the stealer, not you Greenouse!).  The Ed30 mats are an official factory suppled VW part (supplied in a sealed bag, and fitted by the stealer during PDI) - so they WILL have a part number.  The stealers are just being lazy, useless barstewards - suppose it would be too much to ask them to break a lifetime habbit!

Have you actually looked on the underside of the mats, as there should be a paper sticker with the part no on it, though it may have been peeled off and binned by the stealer.

I'd like a second set for winter/summer use.

Have you tried the official rubber mats for winter use?  They may not be "cool" but they are certainly top notch, having a lip which prevents water and other crap from spilling over the edge of the mat and contaminating the carpet.

I thought as much T_T, I will check with another dealer.

I hear what your saying about the rubber mats as I have them in my MK2, but I like the look of the carpet ones in the ED30 so ideally would like some more.

I have purchased some VW rubber mats and they are fantastic. Very practical solution. I agree they aren't the prettiest things in the world but I prefer the rubber ones to the carpet mats.
