I remember a modified DSG Mk5 in grey being for sale on Pistonheads a while ago that had these seats.I think they must have been a very short-lived option.I thought they looked amazing, maybe not to everyone's taste though.
Has anyone got any good photo's of an interior with them?

Check www.fischermotorsport.de ,they sell them, not cheap
-
....They're fabulous imo but you also have to convert the runners and it ends up costing nearly £4G!!

....I spoke to him at Castle Combe the other weekend but forgot to ask if he sold those Recaros yet. I don't have his private number.

They were a factory option Joe (not sure if they still are?) at around the £1200 mark. I considered it but as I couldn't find a car in the country with them fitted to try out first I decided against it  They are awesome looking seats

i didnt think they came as a factory option??? only in the .:R

I had them in leather on my old MkV R32. They were the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in and really did their job in the corners, much more so than the standard items in my current Edition 30 (although don't get me wrong, I think the regular GTI seat design is great).
Following the R, I had a B7 RS4 for a year and even the buckets in that were no match for the VW seats. Naturally, it all depends on your body shape, but I'm 6.2 with a big rear end and the RS4 buckets almost made me pinch a loaf every time I dropped into them.
If the VW Recaros were available (if you know otherwise, please don't tell me) in Edition 30 trim I'd have had them in an instant.
Hello, by the way. Another Tyresmoke defector (not that I posted much there anyway).

I have them in my B7 RS4, they look exactly the same seats shapewise only in cloth and with the shiny backs.Youre right though sooooo comfortable, they should have been standard in the GTI with a no cost option for the normal GTI seats!!! STINGY VW.

....They were an option in May 2005 when I ordered my GTI - How I wish I had ordered them!! My biggest regret!

Yep! I specced them on the on-line configurator a few years back. Not sure if there still on the list now though?? Decided against it as I can get back trouble if Im not comfortable so couldn't risk not trying first........
