A friend tells me these 2 exhaust companies have gone bust? Anyone heard anything? I can't find anything on the net  and the peco website has said under construction for the past 2 weeks.. Just when I'm ready to get 1 aswell!
-
Take it as a hint
-
do not buy Peco.

Sad day if Peco have gone under. They've long been the zorst of choice for those people who've just hit the streets in an old car.
My Dad had Peco zorts on his minis back in the day and the exhaust for my first Golf was a Peco Big Bore 4. OK so they're not the greatest exhausts in the world but they're a bit of english modding heritage.

i was always wary of peco? bit too 'les smith'.

My PECO was brilliant, nice & loud & a good fit! Exactly what I was after at the time!
Shame if they've gone!

After a quick google, if you run your mouse over one of the list of exhausts below it says Peco has gone into Administration and the exhausts are no longer sold. At that shop anyway

Peco was one of the few who sold a 1.4 mk3 exhaust with a choice of ends..
I've only heard good things about peco to be honest, but I can't say I've heavily looked into exhausts enough to purchase one
Any company going into administration is a sad thing, even if the majority of people aren't keen on them imho

or miltek?

or miltek?
Loads of people have had problems with their exhausts and manifolds not fitting properly and breaking after a few months of use. Be wary of them.
-
miltek are real bad!!!!, just look at say, erm the mk 3 item, look at the tail pipes, 1 single pea shooter with 2 ends welded on, what the hell is all that about????
i have magnex on the mk 3 and its really good, (got a good deal on it or id have bought a mongoose) sorry state if they have gone, i was only on the phone to them a few week back too...
on all my other cars i use mongoose, they are by far the best (in my opinion)
and id never have a peco or janspeed

all these brands go on about vr6s and 2.0 gti's etc... they keep forgetting about the baby 1.4s  no doubt people are going to pwn me for wanting an exhaust for such a small engine, but it's what i want :-(

give Sebring a look as well...my old mk3 had a tasty zorst from them. It was nice n low when pootling, but kinda throaty and in ya face at high revs...didnt attract too much dibble cos of it...just dip the revs and what you on about cun7stable
