lastnight i was driving home went over a bump and all my brakes started binding as im driving !!!!!! then when i broke it was very loud. it sounds like its from all wheels.          any ideas    cheers scott :cry:

yea they should be fine. no handbrake off, i put it on a little as i was driving and that sounded awful to. is there a abs pump or something it could be.

The mk4 tells you if you drive with the handbrake on  :wink:

 I would Not drive it at all and Get the wheels off asap to have a look.

yeah i know  :tongue: but there's a common problem in that the rear calipers can stay stuck on - happened to me when i first had my car

have you checked your brake fluid level?

yes levels are fine. iv just fitted new clutch and it seems abit better are they in any way connected both being hydraulic. cheers

the reason i asked about the wheels is i knew a boy with a mk 4 who bouht audi replica alloys with multi fitment but he was supplied with the wrong offset and cracked his front o/s caliper after a few weeks driving they were 19" though

i was lucky i managed to find the whole lot for 260 and thats fitted too :P

As you got new calipers you could sell your old ones to someone with a 2.0 to upgrade to 312mm  :wink:
