Does anyone like it. Its ok I think but.... I dont think its going to be as good as the MK5 some how.

Tacky wheels too - remind me of those horrible Audi wheels everyone puts on mk4s!


So is that what the gti will look like? Or is that just a standard model?

So basicly the scirocco was the first of VW's new design theme then!

Well the Mk6 above looks a lot better than some of the earlier pictures I saw. Remember that the one pictured is [presumably] the non-GTI version, and as such I think it looks better than the non-GTI Mk5, and can only get better once its dressed in GTI trim.

So the guys at VW got p!ssed one night and someone said "I know let's use the lights off the Scirocco on the MKV Golf and call it a MKVI"

Where has the originality of VW gone?

I'll stick with my MKV thanks :wink: :cool:

same old story when a new golf comes out - "it looks crap/french/japanese/rubbish/not as good" etc

does a base model 5 door standard mk5 look much? no.

does it look 'exciting', no, it's a mainstream volume selling car.

will the gti look better, of course.

front ok, prefer the badge in the grille, the stick on one on the scirocco bonnet looks a bit naff.

rear lights a bit too Audi and not in a good way.

profile interesting. like all new cars, needs to be seen in the metal before a judgment can be made.

but apparantly they got a 265bhp engine any 1 no if its a new engine or just a old one developed

It says "R36" there but i think thats a typo on the website should be "R32" - unless....


I think as with most cars it will prob grow on me. Didnt really like the mk5 when it came out but think it looks fine now.

So we getting  a mk6 section? or will it be a mk5/6 section  :tongue:

I think the MK6 section will be dead for a while if it was created  :grin: and the only posts in there would be of how crap it looks etc etc and just general negativity about the new model.

Oh and why stick to the R32 V6? why not go bigger with a R36  :evil:

 Looks rubbish and a backward step from the Mk5.  Old A8 alloys and rear lights from a Honda Prelude. 

I won't be pre-ordering ...
