Can Xenons correctly set up still cause on coming drivers to flash you?
And if possible can someone produce a pic of the xenons on shining down the road to see what the level should be set at? as this would tell me if they are set up incorrectly?

As 182_blue says - Yes.
Also remember that they are auto leveling.
-
bumps and dips etc can throw them a bit, which can flash and blind oncoming cars
-
True, but generally I have had less complaints from other drivers in my Golf then previous german car with Xenon's.
-
yeh sorry, just explaining to the OP, i dont get as many flashes in this as i did my previous cars
-
i get some now and again. but ... give a sh!t... as long as i can see i dont care...
-
I used to get this regularly but not so much recently. My lights haven't been adjusted, but maybe the attitude/tolerence of other drivers has

When I get people flashing me I normally give them a quick dose of the Osram Night Breakers - Once they've regained their sight they soon realise that what they first saw was in fact my dipped normal beam.
I have had them checked on an MOT headlight aligner and they are perfect.

Do you drive around wit your fogs on by any chance?
-
no i dont :)

Good good!

I keep getting flashed too and have always wondered if they need adjusting. I got flashed by someone the other day that also flashed me last week so it must be a hobby of his!
I had another Edition 30 go past me the other way on the same trip I've just mentioned and his were really bright too. As I do quite a lot of driving in the dark (especially winter time) I get annoyed with people flashing me when my car is as it came out of the factory! I get flashed a LOT more than when I had my Mk 4 R32 with xenons.

After of course putting them into the learn/adjustment position with your VAG-COM of course

What if you do not use VAG-COM? I've just used the manual screws and they seem to have worked fine.
-
The VAG-COM procedure is really a position learning process for the controller -

There are a couple of pre-requisites such as not having the handbrake on etc.

If I get my car slightly lowered by installing some eibach sportlines...will i have to get my xenons realigned?

The self leveling will normally deal with it.

It's also a good idea to check the self calibration test works every time you start the engine. :nerd:
