hey everyone,
 
           can anyone tell me where i can get the clutch kit with the fly for a half decent price lol. and where do i find the engine code cheers

Hello welcome, As said in the spare wheel compartment white sticker left hand side or under the plastic engine cover left hand side of engine.

What size engine do you have? Derv or petrol?

prob be an AGU engine  :wink:  link not working?

Im in the process of doing my 1.8T clutch and im doing the G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch :afro:

I dont think you get much gain TBH But the G60 flywheel is lighter  :wink:

The main reason people do this is it can handle more power than the standard dualmass set up. Ideal if you have remap etc.

 Also you should change the dual mass flywheel when you do the clutch- IIRC the dualmass is about £250 :shocked:

The G60 single flywheel is £130 :afro:

ill do that then  because iv got the car booked in at the end of this month for a revo remap iv got a fmic, and sports cat sat here waiting to fit to, so would probably be better of fitting that.
is it easy what parts exactly do you need

You need - G60 corrado flywheel -bolts MK3 golf VR6 clutch and bolts.

I will do a sticky with all the part numbers soon  :wink:.

Yeah will do i will let you know how i get on aswell.

 Ive ordered a sach 3 in 1 clutch kit which should be here monday - ive got the fly wheel and all the bolts :afro:

iv just been looking to order the parts now. after picking the mrs and her rather chunky mate up from town last night and the car wouldnt move lol.
where have you ordered your 3 in one clutch from? and what year model should i order for cheers scott.

Got mine from proven products see link above ^^^^^^^^

Does not matter what year all the same  :cool: if thay want a year say p reg  :laugh:

 A luk clutch from eurocar parts would be fine TBH  :smiley:

just had a word with my mate at sutton autofactors and he can get me all of it for tuesday so im going to have a blast at fitting it.  :undecided: iv changed engines stripped cars and rebuilt but never changed a clutch and fly. has anyone done this conversion there selves and how do i do it lol cheers scott.

Ive never done a clutch tbh. Vw will have to order the clutch pressure plate bolts BTW.

hey everyone i couldnt quite belive this but i went about getting all my parts this morn for the conversion went to vw and they had the fly and 12 bolts in stock (cost me £105) !!!!!!!!! went round the corner to sutton autfactors and they had the LUK clutch in stock cost me (£75) lol  :grin: so all in all a damn site cheaper than the 900 vw wanted to fit me a new clutch.

does anyone no if you have to  set the fly bolts to a certain torque???????

Good work :afro: Not sure on the torque TBH. The garage i use has all the info in a book.

i really like it , would reccomend it, no vibration and the pedal doesn't feel much diff. just cant wait for my re map :smiley:
