hey im gonna be buying a vw golf 1.8t and want to know the basic power upgrades before going to serious power :D many thanks chris

Welcome mate,

1.8t's have alot of potential and quick easy upgrades to get more power.

easiest one would be to talk to R-Tech for a remap

I managed to get a remap, induction kit (decent one), full exhaust and de-cat and uprated N75 valve all for around (calculator comes out).....£700 and am pushing out a respectable 210bhp!  Contact redlinetuning.co.uk

that is very good !! what exhaust did you go for I know alot of people advise Miltek these are thing that i nedd to be looking into when i have money to blow  :grin: i cant wait

Well believe it or not, i broke he first rule of modding!! EBAY!  I got the whole whole system off there (in two seperate pieces) brand new from a company and they fitted perfectly to eachother, stainless steel and no need to cut the rear bumper as it sweeps nicely under it. Ill get a pic and post it and ill try and find a link for you.

Good work - tho you dont have to cut the bumper to fit twin pipes you buy a v6 4motion rear valance  :wink:
