Yo!

You know those GolfGTi plate holders can you slide plates in and out with the holders still on the car, or does the screw go through both the plate and the holder.

the holders are screwed to the car

for the plates you need Velcro mate - they don't slide in and out.

Indeed.  I velcro'd them onto the plate holders.
