Morning all
Now i'm a little concerned, went to start the ole girl up yesterday after not being driven or started for a good 4 days and low and behold she would not start or trun over
My mate came over with some jump leads, wacked them on and away she went!!!!
Took the ole girl for a quick spin and filled up with some derv, parked up till this morning, got in it this morning and it started ok with no probs.
So after only 4 days of rest would the battery go flat?? :undecided:
I dont know if it's the origianl battery......
Any other ideas?
Ta..

Mine went flat after being left for 5 days before. Started fine after a quick boost and seemed fine over the next few days, but I replaced it anyway for peace of mind.

did u leave anything on in the car for those 4 days? that could have made it go flat?
take it down for a test at your local garage and see if the alternator is charging the battery correctly :afro:

No, nothing left on  not that i noticed.
The boot light is a bit temperamental, sometime's it'll work when boot is open, then it might not!! would it drain the battery??
Will get the alt checked
Is a new battery classed as a mod? if i buy from the stealers?

sometimes if its faulty it can stay on by itself my mate had a bonnet light on his beemer and it stayed on and drained the battery.
battery isnt a mod mate unless u go 20mph faster with it!!!!
i probs wouldnt go to the stealers mate, cheaper in a tyre garage or somewhere like that, i cant remember the battery code for the golf derv one maybe more amps than than the petrol :afro:
