You do have to wonder about people sometimes!!!

Picked up my new Mk3 Gti on Friday, It was running like a bag of nails!

Got it into the workshop yesterday and changed the relays (standard when you buy a mk3!)

The engine bay and underneath of the car was absolutely soaked in oil!!! Fearing the worst (engine block) I checked over the engine and found the oil breather pipe on the front of the engine had blown. Checked the oil level to find it half way up the dipstick!!!!!!!

I drained the oil and put back in what it should have and had 3 litres left over!!! What a muppet!!! I wouldnt mind but i drove it 260miles home, I'm suprised it didnt blow up!!!

I've now changed the spark plugs and re-timed it up and its running sweet,

Could do with some Magnecor leads though? Is there a group buy for these? or does anyone know where i can get them from?

I'm going to give it a good clean tomorrow and will post some picks
