Mine is tomorrow so i am a bit nervous. I have never had a car that has flown straight through an MOT!
-
mine passed with no advisorys last week, even with the hid lights and semi illegal plates (lettering is not as big as it should be, but only very slightly)
i was well please with the old girl, cant argue with that for a 1993 car
sure a driveshaft leak is a fail, if so nice one matey
-
depends whats leaking. if its a cv joint gator thats split then yeah but if its gearbox seal then no. congrats. mines never passed an mot first time but all it was was few little bits and peices.
-
yeah its the gearbox seal.....I will sort it when the clutch finally gives up (like it has being for over 12 months )
-
Got mine in a month, wonder how she'll fare especially without a cat (bribe time me thinks).
Well done mate, always feels good when you get a full 12 month ticket.

no what he meant was the actual bulb wasnt orange. if it shows white light then its illeagal. an indicator bulb has to be orange and produce an orange light
-
yeah what stu said.

Had mine 2 and half years, been through 3 MOTS while I've had it, and sailed through with no advisorys every time  Never missed a beat since I've owned her.. only had to replace disks/pads as you do.. do cambelt, and recently two calipers to front as they were both beginning to show signs of seizing. Over than that, perfect, can't fault it.
-
had mine on fri.
windscreen(was going for the split screen look!)
and the handbrake
all sorted now, retest on wed
-
mine would've sailed through last year if I didn't have to change a number plate bulb only to find I couldn't get the effin screw out of the little protection plate.. ended up costing me half hour's labour as it really was a bugger  other than that nothing.. hoping to get the same this august, bet i wont though!
