Title: W 2000 GTI Turbo Help

Hiya just a quick question. Not had my Golf long just wondered if someone could help.

What should be in the N/S/F foot well against the centre consoll. I have a hole in my carpet that looks like its a good chance there should be a light there ?? If not what should be there.

I think it should be a plastic grill/vent that feeds air into the footwell.
