Just had a sudden curiosity as to whether you still use V-power/Ultimate nowadays with the hugely expensive petrol prices? I used to fill it with V-power all the time, nowadays i run it every fourth tank, just for its cleaning element. What about you guys?

....I still use it and don't intend to change
And I don't care that my nearest Shell is 15 miles away
-
nearest V-POWER is 10 miles away  so i usually have to use texaco's optimax. ultimate in my area is now £1.30 per liter   where as optimax is £1.09
-
tesco 99 for me, mostly because the nearest shell is to far
-
Shell V-power for me. Too much of a detour to make it worth while getting Tesco 99.
-
I am lucky there are 2 shells within 3 miles of me, but I tend to use Tescos99 as I find it just as good. Our local Shells always seem to be having problems accepting cards for some reason.
A couple of weeks ago I had to fill up at at Sainsbury which left me with a flat spot at 2000rpm although oddly I didn't find it any less economical.
-
I am stuggling to be able to fill her everytime with the good stuff. Unleaded round my way goes from 1.12 up to 1.16 so you can imagine how much the good stuff cost :(
-
Run on tesco 99 religiously, only the best for Gilbert
-
Always V-Power unless I am really struggling then its a little super until I find some V-Power.

Does anyone use 95 RON? If so, how does the car run?....i dont want to either but the costs are becoming insane up here.

Your car wont run aswell, wont run badly though. You may see a slight drop in performance and lower MPG as lower RON means the FSI part of the engine isnt running at its best.

Mine is using the 95 stuff most time and it runs fine.
-
It will run fine, but you won't get the best performance or economy from it. If you look in you fuel flap it recommends superunleaded

Yeah, seen that, but my wallet recommends 95 :D
-
Its a performance car so stick in the good stuff
Its the car I've seen the biggest difference between 95/97 and 99 fuels , 99 really is soo different.
Turn your air con off and thatll make up the diff between the costs ;-)
although thatll be lost as soon as you hoon it

using 95 ron fuel will be counterproductive as you'll get less mpg and hp compared with 98 ron.
I'm still using V-Power.
-
Yep, mines never had a drop of anything else but V-Power.
-
tesco 99 for me
-
how much is tesco 99/shell v-power around where you guys live?
-
V Power from day 1, only the best fuel for the best car
CT
-
was 1.12 last time i went

This make no sense, 95 unleaded cost more than that around me and I'm only the other side of the M25 from you Steve.
-
Absolutely do still use V-Power.
-
No discount for me today, o'well
-
Only Tesco 99 or V-Power here.
For those running 95 octane have a read of this :smug:

Paid £1.19 last night in Telford for V-power, all 5 Shell stations have for once all gone for the same price instead the odd penny difference here or there.
-
V power since day 1.Got loads of the Ferrari models to prove it.However I,m kinda barred now. :embarassed:
Two fill ups ago they ran out of the models,so the guy said bring the reciept back next time and you can have 2.So next fill up I turn up at shell, fill up and head in for my models.Sorry sir we dont do the promotion anymore. So I kicked off, asking why they still had the posters up and they owe me one from last time, etc etc.. So gonna try tesco,s today.
-
Only ever used Vpower in my GTI, cost 117.9 a litre last night.
If you didnt attend the rescent demonstration at the fuel depos, then you cant moan.
-
....V-Power from day 1, currently £1.18 in my neck of the woods. Some weeks I only do 20 miles, others I do 400 - I've got the GTI yo use and enjoy and don't think about the cost of petrol. Currently running at 28.4 mpg on the display - Quite high for me.
-
Yep only performance fuel for my baby!
Only ever used V-Power so far, but will be venturing down to the local Tesco (when it's not so friggin busy, which is ALL the time) to see if they have a 99 pump. I fancy a taste of that stuff!
-
....Ooops! I just filled up with V-Power as usual but it was £1.21.9 . It won't stop my enjoyment though
-
Just filled up...£60 from empty at Tescos..99RON@£1.18p
