I have seen a few of these forums now and note some comments regarding the replacement of the mk 5 Golf GTI seats. (3 door)
So i thought I would let people know that I replaced my Golf Gti seats for Audi S3 S Line seats. Other forums seemed to state that only the fronts would fit, they will but note the armrest in the Golf is bigger than the audi, so you have to raise it before moving the seats forward. As for the back they went straight in no problems, which people seemed to doubt.
I had to keep my original golf selt belt buckles and I have lost the annoying alert if someone is sat in the front seat without the belt. But that was it.

cheers for the info, god forbid id ever splash out on 3k on seats!, big claim on my warranty me thinks

No use without pics

^ what he said

How, please help

....But why swop the GTI seats for S3? The GTI seats give better support for driving.
-
I found them too cramped and the amount of times I gave myself a dead leg getting in the car. When I bought the car I didn't really want all leather and opted for cloth. Personally I get it, its the whole GTI check pattern thing. But people I know all thought it was a bit loud. That said its not their car so I always defended the pattern. However my preference would always be half leather and half alcantara. Personally i wish VW would have given the option, but thats just my view. With regard to the actual seats the S3 base side supports are almost the other way around, wider at the back and narrowing to the front which suits me perfectly. I feel i have a bit more room in the seat.
As for the price I would never buy brand new, but I contacted a breakers yard and took a chance, Seats from a 2007 car and the doorcards for £1k, may be not to everyones taste or preference but I thought it was worth it and love them.

I was thinking LAmbo Reps..... Probably 19's or 18's with lowered suspension :nerd:
Where did you ge them from? I see your car is European. They are the big thing in America at the moment.

I was thinking Lambo Reps.....
Ahhh yeah, could be. Hummmmm
-
No offence to the OP. I just assumed they are reps. So if they are the OEM part then you got a lot of monies lying around

As requested here are the seat pics, new to this, so sorry about the size

if there not reps what are they ?
-
the real thing mate, bought from a firm who deals with the Italian sports cars. Initially I asked about second hand, but he told me that he also dealt with the lambo factory direct. So after a bit of thought and weighing up how long it would take to curb them I went for it.
-
seats look really nice. Much nicer than the original tartan imho. wheels look nice too.

ahh, what make are they then
-
I don't know mate, whoever makes them for the lambo gallardo. I ordered 4 front wheels as the rears are no use, they're too wide
-
ahh, how mucho are those then
-
About £550 ish a rim
-
them seats look really cool man
i wonder if the rs3 seats fit aswell??
i saw a gti for sale on autotrader that had 2 tone leather black and cream looked the dogs but was guessing it was an import as we only get the grey leather or standard
-
I would think so, i think the floor pans are the same, its the size of the seat and interior around them. I don't know what they look like. Are they bigger than the big R32 and S3 seats?
-
....I've always thought that those Lambo alloys remind me of our Monzas! If you compare them you'll see how the big 'round holes' are similar. I think yours suit the GTI extremely well.     - Very Cool Mod!
-
the lambo wheels do look superb, but £550 a wheel ouch. Plus, is it just the pics, or are they curbed??
If it is the latter, I would have cried when it happened
-
I prefer the original gti seats, i think those s line seats don't look sporty at all!
Why didn't you go down the releather look that would of made the seats much more desirable than buying some s line seats... for me it seems like you are taking away the sport seats and replacing them with normal seats.
-
i think those s line seats don't look sporty at all!
I think they look bloody awful!
Still, as long as he's happy with them...
-
i agree, not quite as strongly as above , but prefer the originals (if in leather anyway)
