Title: Edition 30 Exhausts....
Post by: CocoPops on 22 May 2008, 12:03
what options are there?

Milltek - Resonated and Non Resonated (Anyone got either near Reading way? I'd like to see/hear)

What other manufacturers have a full turbo back exhaust system for the Ed30?

Cheers,
Lee.

If you go for the non-res you can always buy the resonated pipe as an extra if your not keen on the non-res sound, my non-res is fine.  Does make more sound when you have more power

I dont feel you'll beat Milltek so why look anywhere else   I've seen it tried before and nobody was happy so my thoughts were stick with what you know.

Also when I told my mate I had a new exhaust he just assumed it was a Milltek without me saying, same when I told the insurance - obviously a good reputation.

I bought the full Milltek TBE (resonated) and it is great.

Here's a sound clip for you of mine, but obviously not under load.

Gaz, how much is it costing you to get it fitted? I got charged £135 + THE DREADED for mine, as they said the downpipe is a b!tch to fit and takes a while..
Was he pulling my chopper, or is it a 2-3 hour job like he said?

I paid £75 + vat to have my full system fitted

Took less than an hour to change my down pipe. It is a b!tch to get it on the turbo as you don"t have much space to work in, but certainly isn't more than an hours work.

Couple of hours total for the whole system, about 90 quid I think

Yep

Its not that loud but I have never compared it against a res system - maybe we can on the RR day

I have non res and was driving today with the windows open. Below 3k its completely normal but over that it does make people look round. Doesn't sound like a bad boy bolt on, more purposeful and quite throaty.

Completely agree with that, although there is a quite a difference on WOT between stock and remapped
